\n\tSome adore it, and some hate it (and a lot more have said it\u2019s clearly a wig). But as many know by now, Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton<\/a>, is a blonde! After being a brunette<\/a> her whole life, she\u2019s embracing being a blonde<\/a>; and stylists speculate the reason why.<\/p>\n

\n\tHer new \u2018do, which many speculate was done by Mario Charalambous, salon director at Richard Ward\u2019s London salon, is a perfect mix of the two hair colors, giving Kate a more \u201cbronde\u201d look instead of straight blonde. But again, why the change?<\/p>\n

\n\tWell, Emilie Venturini, senior colourist at Jo Hansford Mayfair, revealed to The Daily Mail<\/a> that many of her clients go bronde, or blonde, to hide the gray hairs.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor many clients, moving several shades lighter can feel like a big change, which is why we usually advise easing into it gradually. It\u2019s also important to note that as women mature, natural changes in skin pigment and eye colour can affect how hair colour complements their features,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tCelebrity stylist Ed James backed this up, saying, \u201cI guide clients to soften and slightly lighten their colour, or to blend their grays rather than erase them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s unclear why she made the change, but many experts have speculated, as you can see, that the drastic change could be to help her hair look thicker, or to hide the grays. (Reminder: Gray hair<\/a> is totally natural, and it\u2019s up to everyone whether they want to embrace it or change up their hair. It\u2019s all about what makes someone feel confident!)<\/p>\n
