SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men’s soccer team battled SUNY Morrisville to\u00a0a\u00a01-1 draw\u00a0on Saturday afternoon at College Park Field.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The first half saw balanced play, with both teams recording two shots on net, but Union (1-1-1) was first to break the deadlock in the 18th minute. A well-placed ball forward found sophomore Nate Langlois<\/a> who dribbled toward the edge of the right side of the 18-yard box and fired a shot into the top left corner of the net for his first goal of the season.<\/p>\n

Morrisville (2-0-1) responded just six minutes later, capitalizing on a free kick from Aaron Chapman. Chapman’s service connected with Sam Frimpong, who headed the ball into the right side of the goal to even the score.<\/p>\n

In the second half, Union recorded two more shots on net while Morrisville added one, but neither side was able to convert, and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.<\/p>\n

Senior goalkeeper Jacob Perry<\/a> finished with two saves, while Morrisville’s Ronaldo Fatolou stopped three shots.<\/p>\n

Union returns to action Wednesday, traveling to SUNY Poly for a 6:00 pm kickoff.
