\n \u201cOur bear, Okan, was taken in with stomach pain and abdominal discomfort. Our veterinarian at \u00c7ekmek\u00f6y Rehabilitation Center immediately noticed tenderness in Okan\u2019s stomach area,\u201d Park of Istanbul Nature and Life Complex Board Chairman Burak Memi\u015fo\u011flu told CNN Turk.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cHe underwent a CT scan to check for any masses. However, the CT scan results came back clean, and his blood count was also checked, and there were no problems. He\u2019s fine now; he\u2019s very tame and happy, and he\u2019ll be in the pool to cool off soon,\u201d Memi\u015fo\u011flu added.\n <\/p>\n

\n This isn\u2019t the first time Okan ate too much fruit. He received similar treatment for the issue three years ago. That\u2019s also when he received the popular Turkish name, Okan.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cThree years ago, when our new employee went to the hospital and didn\u2019t know our bear\u2019s name, he quickly said, \u2018I gave him my own name, his name is Okan,\u2019 and our bear\u2019s name was registered as Okan,\u201d Memi\u015fo\u011flu told CNN Turk.\n <\/p>\n
\n Workers at the wildlife center are continuing to monitor Okan and adjust his food so he doesn\u2019t have tummy troubles again.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cOur veterinarians and biologists here are adjusting our animal friends\u2019 food intake; the amount doesn\u2019t change, either up or down.
