Clarithromycin Extended-Release tablets by Abbott Healthcare, used to treat bacterial infections, are priced at Rs 71.71 per tablet.In Feb, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, which controls drug prices, ordered manufacturers to issue a price list to dealers, state drug controllers, and the govt, referencing such price fixation or revision as per government orders or gazette notifications.&#8221;The order to display the price list allows citizens to cross-check whether pharmacies are selling at NPPA-fixed prices,&#8221; said an official.&#8221;Every retailer and dealer shall display the price list and supplementary price list, if any, in a conspicuous place, easily accessible to the public,&#8221; the NPPA order stated.
