\t\t\t\t\tJust recently, we told you about young Columbus Blue Jackets forward Yegor Chinakhov<\/a>, who has requested a trade.<\/p>\n The rumor had circulated around the 2025 Draft, but it’s now confirmed.<\/p>\n The towering 6-foot-5 forward Dmitri Voronkov was also involved in serious trade discussions between the Blue Jackets and the New York Islanders.<\/p>\n The Blue Jackets included the big forward Dmitri Voronkov in a trade offer to beat the Montreal Canadiens’ bid for Noah Dobson<\/a><\/p>\n If Voronkov was used in an attempt to outbid the Canadiens for Noah Dobson, that confirms he’s definitely available on the trade market in Columbus.<\/p>\n While everyone is focused on Chinakhov, personally, I think Voronkov would be a much more intriguing acquisition.<\/p>\n Elliotte Friedman: “Columbus made a really good offer for Noah Dobson; it included Voronkov; Dobson wanted to go to Montreal; he preferred the Eastern Conference so some teams like St. Louis were told they were out”<\/p>\n – 32 Thoughts Podcast\/NHL Watcher<\/p>\n So he’s definitely another name to watch.<\/p>\n “Friedman on 32TP says Noah Dobson wanted to go to Montreal, Columbus is rumoured to have offered a better package to the Islanders, believes Dmitri Voronkov was in the deal and they were going to give Dobson a higher AAV.”<\/p>\n -NHL Watcher<\/p>\n Voronkov, 24 years old, is indeed a big forward who can easily play center.
