According to Istanbul University\u2019s Cerrahpa\u015fa Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where he was treated, Okan was brought in with abdominal pain and discomfort due to overeating fruits. \u201cOur veterinarian at \u00c7ekmek\u00f6y Rehabilitation Center immediately noticed tenderness in Okan\u2019s stomach area,\u201d Istanbul Nature and Life Complex Board chairman Burak Memi\u015fo\u011flu reported CNN Turk. Doctors conducted a CT scan to rule out internal complications, but results showed no abnormalities. His blood count was also normal. \u201cHe\u2019s fine now; he\u2019s very tame and happy, and he\u2019ll soon cool off in the pool,\u201d Memi\u015fo\u011flu said. The bear has become a familiar face at the wildlife park after news reports went viral. This was not Okan\u2019s first encounter with fruit-induced illness. Three years ago, he underwent similar treatment.  To prevent further health issues, staff at the wildlife center are closely monitoring his diet. \u201cOur veterinarians and biologists adjust our animals\u2019 food carefully.
