Cal One Of 15 Teams In Loaded Field<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tThe California men’s golf team opens the 2025-26 season this week at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Michigan.<\/p>\n

The Golden Bears, coming off a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships, are one of 15 teams in the field of the unique event that raises awareness and funds to provide educational scholarships to children and spouses of fallen or disabled military personnel and first responders.<\/p>\n

Cal is led by fifth-year senior Charlie Berridge<\/a>, who paced the team with a 72.36 stroke average and was one of the team’s co-captains last season. Berridge registered three top-30 finishes last year and was named\u00a0a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America.<\/p>\n

Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men’s Golf Michael Wilson<\/a>‘s enters his second at the helm after leading the Bears to a 17th place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships. Cal also collected five top-5 and eight top-10 finishes last\u00a0 year.<\/p>\n

This week’s tourney at the American Dunes Golf club runs Monday through Wednesday and features eight teams that qualified for an NCAA regional last season, including the Golden Bears.<\/p>\n

Golf Channel will provide thorough live coverage of the tournament, airing six hours of play each day. Specific broadcast times are listed below.<\/p>\n
