\n\tSworn enemies Bruce Springsteen<\/a> and President Donald Trump<\/a> were both on hand Sunday in New York City to watch the men\u2019s finals at the U.S. Open. The outing marked the first time the singer and president had been in the same place since their public sparring earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe match between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner was delayed nearly 30 minutes Sunday due to security measures that caused traffic issues because of Trump\u2019s presence<\/a> in the Rolex box, his arrival at Arthur Ashe Stadium\u00a0drew boos. When the match finally did start, the venue was still less than half full because of the additional screening.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, as the crowd started settling into their seats, TV cameras spotted Springsteen in attendance, sitting in a celeb-filled section along with Sting, Ben Stiller, and more:<\/p>\n

\n\tThough Springsteen has been a vocal critic of Trump since he first ran for the presidency in 2015, he really seemed to draw the president\u2019s ire when the songwriter\u00a0blasted him at the inaugural date<\/a>\u00a0of his 2025 European tour. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhile onstage, Springsteen took a moment out of his set to rail against Trump, calling the administration \u201ccorrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump, obviously, reacted in a totally calm and normal way. \u201cSpringsteen is \u2018dumb as a rock,\u2019\u201d Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, \u201cand couldn\u2019t see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)? This dried out \u2018prune\u2019 of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that\u2019s just \u2018standard fare.\u2019 Then we\u2019ll all see how it goes for him!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStill not over it, three days later,\u00a0Trump took another shot<\/a>\u00a0at Springsteen in an\u00a0even crazier post<\/a>\u00a0that also referenced Bono and Oprah Winfrey. \u201cHOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?\u201d he wrote. \u201cWHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN\u2019T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONC\u00c9? \u2026AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren\u2019t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd perhaps, as everybody in the entire world except for Trump expected, the music community rallied behind Springsteen<\/a> to show their support for him. Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Bono, Jason Isbell, and more all spoke out in solidarity with their friend in the days that followed. <\/p>\n
