\nThe Enji-Maawinjidiyaang Indigenous Friendship Centre\u00a0is proud to announce its 1st Annual Golf Tournament, taking place on Thursday, Sept.\u00a026, 2025, at the Stoneridge Championship Golf Course.<\/p>\n
This event is not just a golf tournament \u2014 it\u2019s a community gathering. The Friendship Centre is calling on local teams, businesses, and organizations to come together for a day of fun, connection, and cultural celebration.<\/p>\n
All proceeds will support Indigenous-led programming in the region, including:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tLanguage restoration\u00a0
\n\tYouth and children\u2019s activities\u00a0
\n\tCultural awareness initiatives\u00a0
\n\tFamily engagement events\u00a0
<\/p>\n
\u201cThis tournament is more than a game \u2014 it\u2019s a gathering of people, cultures, and communities,\u201d said Elizabeth Richer, Interim Executive Director of the Enji-Maawinjidiyaang Indigenous Friendship Centre. \u201cIt\u2019s a chance to walk together in friendship, to support healing, and to take real steps toward meaningful reconciliation. We need teams to play, sponsors to stand with us, and community members to show up \u2014 because every swing, every sign, and every smile helps build a future rooted in respect, unity, and hope.<\/p>\n
