Jack Draper, the British No 1, has been ruled out for the rest of the season with the arm injury that forced him to withdraw from the US Open.<\/p>\n
Draper said: \u201cUnfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I\u2019ll be sitting out the rest of 2025. It is very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff.<\/p>\n

Draper, the world No 7, has been dealing with pain in his arm<\/a> since the clay court season. After his second-round defeat at Wimbledon<\/a>, medical tests determined that Draper had been suffering from bone bruising in his left arm, which forced him out of action for seven weeks between Wimbledon and the US Open.<\/p>\n Upon his return in New York, Draper said he had initially been ruled out for eight weeks and was ahead of schedule by one week. After competing in the mixed doubles event<\/a> and winning his four-set opening round match<\/a>, the Briton was forced to withdraw before the second-round<\/a> as the pain in his arm had intensified.<\/p>\n Draper will not undergo surgery and the injury is the same issue that forced him off the tour after Wimbledon, but his team have decided to be cautious.<\/p>\n It is a significant blow for Draper, who has been performing at such a high level this year and has positioned himself as one of the best players in the world behind Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.<\/p>\n After his breakthrough run to the US Open semi-finals last year, Draper won his first ATP Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells<\/a> in March, defeating Alcaraz in the semi-final, and then he reached the Madrid Open final<\/a> in May.
