If you\u2019re looking for books that start at $1, here are some upcoming sales you may want to check out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Toronto Public Library\u2019s Big Book Sale<\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 13, from noon to 5 p.m., The Gerrard\/Ashdale Branch of the Toronto Public Library (TPL) is hosting its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torontopubliclibrary.ca\/detail.jsp?Entt=RDMEVT564688&amp;R=EVT564688\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Big Book Sale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the sale, literary buffs of all ages will be able to find their \u201cnext great read for a bargain price,\u201d according to TPL. And there will also be CDs, DVDs and audiobooks for sale.<\/p>\n<p>All proceeds will support TPL and the sale will take place on the second floor of the library.<\/p>\n<p>Address: 1432 Gerrard St. E.<\/p>\n<p>        Friends of Victoria University Library Book Sale<\/p>\n<p>The annual <a href=\"https:\/\/library.vicu.utoronto.ca\/friends\/book_sale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Friends of Victoria University Library Book Sale<\/a> is back with multiple dates this month.<\/p>\n<p>And a wide variety of titles in all areas of interest have already been donated to the library for the occasion. There will also be a selection of CDs, sheet music and song books.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of the sale, Sept. 18, there will be a $5 entry fee and all proceeds will go back to the library. Students will get in for free with their ID. And on Sept. 22, the last day, all remaining books will be half price. Here\u2019s when you can find the sale:<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 18 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Address: 91 Charles St. W.<\/p>\n<p>Mississauga Symphony Orchestra book sale<\/p>\n<p>The 30th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississaugasymphony.ca\/book-sale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">annual giant used book sale<\/a>, hosted by the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, will run from for four days this month at Sherwood Village.<\/p>\n<p>The sale will be cash only and proceeds will help to support concert season, fund the rapidly expanding Mississauga Symphony Youth Orchestra and more. Check out the offerings on the last day of the sale to find everything half priced.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s when the sale will take place.<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 18 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Address: 2225 Erin Mills Pkwy.<\/p>\n<p>University College Book Sale<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uc.utoronto.ca\/alumni-uc-books\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">University College Book Sale<\/a>\u00a0runs Sept. 25 to 28. The fall sale will take place in the Clark Reading room at the University of Toronto\u2019s University College Building, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a $5 admission fee on the first day, with free entry from Sept. 26 to 28. Students with photo ID will also get in for free.<\/p>\n<p>There will be fixed prices for genres including fiction, mysteries, real life stories and humour and other categories like philosophy, history, travel, math and cookbooks will be priced from $1.<\/p>\n<p>A rare and special books collection will also be for sale, with prices as low as $5.<\/p>\n<p>Head to the sale on its last day to find most remaining books half price.<\/p>\n<p>Address: 15 King\u2019s College Circle<\/p>\n<p>St. Mike\u2019s Annual Book Sale<\/p>\n<p>From Sept. 24 to Sept. 27, the University of St. Michael\u2019s College in the University of Toronto\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/library.stmikes.utoronto.ca\/about\/friends\/sale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Annual Book Sale<\/a> is at the John M. Kelly Library.<\/p>\n<p>Bookworms will be able to find collections of special and general materials, sorted into academic and popular categories. And aside from the books, there will be DVDs, CDs, ephemera and maps.<\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 24, the sale will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a $5 admission fee. Students with ID will get in for free. If you can\u2019t make it on day one, the sale will also open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 26 with free admission.<\/p>\n<p>The sale will also have free entry on its final day, Sept. 27, and run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All books, DVDs and CDs will be available for $20 a box on this day.<\/p>\n<p>The funds raised help to \u201censure that the John M. Kelly Library can continue to be the centre of academic life on the St. Michael\u2019s College campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Address: 113 St. Joseph St.<\/p>\n<p>48th Friends of the Library Book Sale<\/p>\n<p>Ok, this isn\u2019t technically this month, but it is worth noting.
