{"id":129861,"date":"2025-09-08T23:14:06","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T23:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/129861\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T23:14:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T23:14:06","slug":"fire-breaks-out-at-house-in-east-york-severl-homes-evacuated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/129861\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire breaks out at house in East York, severl homes evacuated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Several homes in Toronto\u2019s East York area have been evacuated after a fire broke out at a house on Yardley Avenue late Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said they were called to the Topham Park neighbourhood, north of St. Clair and west of Victoria Park avenues, just before 6 p.m. for reports of a house fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto fire crews are now on scene working to douse the two-alarm fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a post on social media, Toronto police said the fire has spread to surrounding homes and \u201call surrounding houses have been evacuated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">No injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police are advising drivers of delays in the area and are urging them to use alternate routes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Yardley is currently closed between Victoria Park and Barron Avenue..<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">More details to come.
