We have a personnel move to announce within the large Montreal Canadiens organization.<\/p>\n

Wyatt McLeod remains within the Montreal Canadiens’ organization chart<\/p>\n

Here is an excerpt from the official press release.<\/p>\n

“The Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions (affiliate club of the Montreal Canadiens) have reached an agreement with defenseman Wyatt McLeod.<\/p>\n

The 6’3″ skater had joined the Lions at the start of training camp in October 2024 and quickly established himself as a pillar on defense.”<\/p>\n

McLeod, 25 years old, is a left-shot defenseman standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 202 pounds, so he’s a big, physical guy, and he collected 23 points in 65 games last season with Ron Choules’ squad.<\/p>\n

He also logged 41 penalty minutes while maintaining a positive plus-minus of +8.<\/p>\n

McLeod is a former member of the Colorado Avalanche organization, he’s a cornerstone for the Lions, and he could certainly climb the ranks of the Montreal Canadiens organization soon.<\/p>\n

We are really looking forward to seeing him at camp!<\/p>\n

The picture is really starting to take shape, especially on defense, within the Canadiens’ organization, and there even seems to be a possible opening eventually with the Laval Rocket, precisely for a young player like Wyatt McLeod.<\/p>\n

He’s a young player to keep an eye on.<\/p>\n
