ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Sept. 8, 2025) \u2013 The Northern Arizona women’s golf team completed the first two rounds of the Branch Law Firm\/Dick McGuire Invitational, hosted by New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course.<\/p>\n
As a team, the Lumberjacks currently sit in sixth place at +17 (593), with one more round of 18 holes remaining tomorrow. The current leaders are Big Sky rival Sacramento State, at -1 (575) for the day. Montana State, another Big Sky competitor, is in fifth place at +15 (591), two shots ahead of NAU.<\/p>\n
Leading the ‘Jacks for the day was junior Amy Hodgkins<\/a>, who finished at +1 (145), tied for seventh place on the individual leaderboard. The Australian native posted an under-par round of 71 (-1) this morning, recording four birdies, followed by a 74 (+2) in the afternoon with two more birdies.<\/p>\n Frankie Dezis<\/a> and Lizzie Neale<\/a> both finished the day at 2-over-par and are tied for 14th place.<\/p>\n Dezis, another junior, shot a 74 in the morning and an even-par 72 in the afternoon. She recorded two birdies in each round and posted an even-par scoring average on par-4 holes. The Englishwoman is tied for fifth in the field for total number of pars, with 26.<\/p>\n Neale carded two rounds of 73, including five birdies over the 36 holes. She is tied for sixth in par-5 scoring, averaging 4.75 (-2).<\/p>\n Sumin Kang<\/a> is tied for 68th after rounds of 80 and 76, for a total of +12 (156). Ava Bates<\/a> rounds out the lineup with scores of 84 and 80 (+20), placing her in solo 86th.<\/p>\n The two Russian natives, Nina Lukyanenko<\/a> and Glafira Pomazkova<\/a>, are competing as individuals.<\/p>\n Lukyanenko is tied for 60th after rounds of 79 (+7) and 75 (+3). She birdied the par-4, 341-yard 15th hole in both rounds. Pomazkova, a true freshman, recorded rounds of 87 and 80 (+23), placing 88th.<\/p>\n The final round will begin with a shotgun start tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time.
