Julie, Que., and\u00a0Mario Dellifraine<\/a>\u00a0of Rosemere, Que., are the McGill University athletes of the week, presented by\u00a0Restaurant Poulet Rouge, for the period ending Sept. 7, 2025.\u00a0 =======================================================================\n<\/p>\n \nMONTR\u00c9AL \u2014 Ann Stephanie Fortin<\/a>, de Sainte-Julie (Qu\u00e9bec), et Mario Dellifraine<\/a>, de Rosem\u00e8re (Qu\u00e9bec), sont les athl\u00e8tes de la semaine de l’Universit\u00e9 McGill, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par le restaurant Poulet Rouge, pour la p\u00e9riode se terminant le 7 septembre 2025.<\/p>\n Fortin, une gardienne de but de 5 pieds 7 pouces,\u00a0\u00e9voluant au sein de l’\u00e9quipe de soccer des Martlets, a affich\u00e9 un bilan de 1-1 avec un blanchissage, une moyenne de 2,00 buts encaiss\u00e9s et un pourcentage d’arr\u00eats de 0,818, alors que McGill a partag\u00e9 deux matchs importants contre les deux meilleures \u00e9quipes de la ligue la semaine derni\u00e8re. Apr\u00e8s avoir effectu\u00e9 un arr\u00eat lors de la d\u00e9faite 2-0 \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur contre les Carabins de Montr\u00e9al, invaincus, le 5 septembre, l’\u00e9tudiante en g\u00e9nie architectural de 22 ans a rebondi avec une performance spectaculaire qui lui a valu le titre de joueuse du match le 7 septembre. Elle avoir r\u00e9alis\u00e9 huit arr\u00eats dans la victoire 1-0 de McGill contre Laval, mettant fin \u00e0 la s\u00e9rie de trois victoires cons\u00e9cutives de cette \u00e9quipe.<\/p>\n Dellafraine, un botteur\u00a0des Redbirds\u00a0qui mesure 6 pieds, 2 pouces\u00a0et 210 poids, a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 joueur de la semaine des \u00e9quipes sp\u00e9ciales de football de la RSEQ apr\u00e8s avoir inscrit 13 points et quatre field goals, un record personnel en un seul match, lors de la d\u00e9faite 27-19 de derni\u00e8re minute contre Concordia vendredi.\u00a0 L’\u00e9tudiant de deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e en arts, \u00e2g\u00e9 de 22 ans, a r\u00e9ussi 4 de ses 5 tirs au but, rebondissant avec quatre tirs cons\u00e9cutifs r\u00e9ussis apr\u00e8s avoir vu sa premi\u00e8re tentative bloqu\u00e9e. Il a r\u00e9ussi des tirs \u00e0 des distances de 26, 39, 44 (un record personnel) et 15 yards, respectivement. Il a \u00e9galement effectu\u00e9 trois coups d’envoi pour un total de 125 yards, dont un coup d’envoi de 13 yards qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s par McGill pour prolonger une attaque cruciale \u00e0 68 secondes de la fin du match. Fortin, a 5-foot-7 goalkeeper with the soccer Martlets, posted a 1-1 record with one shutout, a 2.00 goals-against average and an .818 save percentage as McGill split a pair of key games against the league’s top two teams last week. After making one save in a 2-0 loss on the road against the undefeated Montreal Carabins on Sept. 5, the 22-year-old architectural engineering major bounced back with a spectacular player-of-the-game performance on Sept. 7. She posted an eight-save shutout in McGill’s 1-0 victory over visiting Laval to snap their three-game win streak.

Dellafraine, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound place-kicker\u00a0with the Redbirds was also named\u00a0as the RSEQ Football\u00a0special teams player of the week\u00a0after registering 13 points and a single-game career-high four field goals in a 27-19 last-minute loss at Concordia on Friday.\u00a0 The 22-year-old Arts sophomore was 4-for-5 in place-kicking, rebounding with four straight successful kicks after having his first attempt blocked. He was good from distances of 26, 39, a career-high 44 and 15 yards, respectively. He also had three kickoffs for 125 total yards, including a 13-yard onside kick that was successfully recovered by McGill to extend a critical drive with 68 seconds remaining in the game. A\u00a0product of College Lionel-Groulx, Dellifraine is a relative newcomer to organized football and is a second-year transfer from Mid-America Christian University, where he was a reserve goalkeeper in soccer.
