Its cast includes Guillaume Marbeck as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jean-luc-godard\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jean-luc-godard_1\" data-tag=\"jean-luc-godard\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jean-Luc Godard<\/a>, Aubry Dullin as Jean-Paul Belmondo and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/zoey-deutch\/\" id=\"auto-tag_zoey-deutch_1\" data-tag=\"zoey-deutch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zoey Deutch<\/a> as Jean Seberg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNouvelle Vague centers on the filming of Godard\u2019s 1960 feature Breathless, which starred Belmondo as criminal Michel and Seberg as his girlfriend, Patricia. Taking its title from the French term for \u201cNew Wave,\u201d Nouvelle Vague was shot entirely in Paris with an exclusively French crew. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI never even said that I\u2019d do the picture,\u201d Deutch complains in the trailer. Later, she warns Marbeck, \u201cI might just walk out on you and your film.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLinklater directed the feature from a script co-written by Holly Gent, Vincent Palmo Jr., Mich\u00e8le Halberstadt and Laetitia Masson. Laurent P\u00e9tin, Mich\u00e8le P\u00e9tin serve as producers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNouvelle Vague premiered earlier this year at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/cannes-film-festival\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cannes-film-festival_1\" data-tag=\"cannes-film-festival\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cannes Film Festival<\/a> before <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/netflix-buys-richard-linklater-nouvelle-vague-1236230356\/\">Netflix acquired it<\/a>. In his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/nouvelle-vague-review-richard-linklater-godard-breathless-1236220222\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">review of Nouvelle Vague<\/a> for The Hollywood Reporter, chief film critic David Rooney wrote that the movie \u201cdoes an impressive job capturing the spirit of the man at work, highlighting what it took \u2014 and often didn\u2019t take \u2014 to put his groundbreaking movie together.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLinklater recently directed the films Blue Moon and Hit Man.
