\nKENNESAW, Ga. \u2013 Following their 0-0 draw against Tennessee Tech, Kennesaw State Women’s Soccer hosts Georgia Southern this Wednesday.

\nAnabel Orozco<\/a> and Alana Nesbit<\/a> each notched their first goal of the season versus Mercer on Thursday and Sara Hill<\/a> recorded a shutout in her second collegiate start against TTU.

\nFreshman Sara Hill<\/a> has gotten the start in goal two of the last three matches. In her first collegiate start against North Florida (8\/31), she saved six of the eight shots she faced as the Owls drew the Ospreys. Against TTU (9\/7), she had a clean sheet with five saves. On the season, the Chattanooga, Tenn. native has 17 saves with a 0.895 save percentage.

\nO Captain! My Captain!
\nCaptain Mai Jensen<\/a>\u00a0made her return to the pitch for the first time in nearly a year against Georgia State (8\/28). The Rockledge, Fla. native has played 154 minutes in four matches, including 47 in KSU’s shutout against TTU (9\/7).<\/p>\n
\nRaelyn Prince<\/a> and Rebecca Womer<\/a> each scored in the Owls’ match against the Ospreys (8\/31). It was their first career goals for KSU. Womer scored in the final minute of the first half and Prince converted her penalty kick in the 77th\u00a0minute.<\/p>\n
\nOn August 19, Kennesaw State announced that the field at Fifth Third Stadium, home of the Owls’ football, soccer and lacrosse programs, will be named Walens Family Field in recognition of a transformative $4 million philanthropic gift from Dave and Donna Walens.

\nCUSA Preseason Poll
\nKennesaw State was picked to finish eighth in the Conference USA coaches’ preseason poll, tallying 47 total points. The Black and Gold finished seventh in their inaugural CUSA season with a conference record of 2-4-3. The conference expanded to 12 teams following the additions of Missouri State and Delaware, who were predicting to finish third and seventh respectively. Liberty tops the poll with 119 points and nine first-place votes.

\nScouting the Eagles
\nGeorgia Southern enters Wednesday’s match having lost their last four matches. Two of those matches, however, were against top 15 teams on the road (Arkansas and Tennessee) where the Eagles only lost by a combined total of 3-0.

\nThe Eagles pace the Sun Belt in saves (40) while being tied for fourth-best save percentage at 0.750%. They have a goalie committee with Addison Daughtry and Katie Oakley having split the seven starts.

\nOffensively, Paisley Cathey and Bri Conley lead the way with seven and six points on the season. They \u2013 alongside Addison Comer \u2013 are responsible for all seven goals the Eagles have scored.
