Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar returned to The View Season 29 this week, and they have no plans on retiring anytime soon.<\/p>\n
The longest-tenured ABC daytime co-hosts revealed in an interview why they are not thinking about quitting the show just yet.<\/p>\n

When asked by Entertainment Tonight<\/a> if she would slow down and enjoy life, Goldberg said, \u201cYeah, but who can afford to do that? You know if you don\u2019t marry well, you gotta keep working.\u201d<\/p>\n The reporter suggested Goldberg could be someone who could afford not to work, to which the\u00a0Sister Act\u00a0star added, \u201cNo, not by now. Not yet.\u201d<\/p>\n Later on in the report, Goldberg said, \u201cI\u2019ve got to keep paying those bills, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n Behar, who has been on The View since the show premiered in 1997, noted that \u201ccreative people don\u2019t really retire,\u201d adding, \u201cI just really like to write and create stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n The comedian recently wrote the off-Broadway stage play My First Ex-Husband, which featured a rotating cast that has included Behar, Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, Adrienne C. Moore, Susan Lucci and others. During a performance earlier this year, her View co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, made a special appearance<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cCreative people don\u2019t retire, they don\u2019t resign, they just keep going,\u201d Behar added.<\/p>\n The View recently came under fire from Donald Trump\u2019s White House for its criticism over the way the former reality TV competition host is running the country. The show ended its last season, making news and sparking threats from the White House<\/a> after co-host Joy Behar alluded to Donald Trump\u2019s attacks on former U.S. President Barack Obama being motivated by jealousy.<\/p>\n White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said, \u201cJoy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It\u2019s no surprise that The View\u2019s ratings hit an all-time low last year.
