Glen Powell<\/a> is speaking out for the first time on his breakup from Gigi Paris<\/a>, more than two years after their relationship ended.<\/p>\n

For those who don\u2019t know, Glen and Gigi dated for three years from 2020 to 2023 and their split happened while he was in Australia filming the movie Anyone But You with Sydney Sweeney<\/a>. <\/p>\n

At the time, there were rumors that something was going on between Glen and Sydney and while rumors were shot down at the time, it was later alleged that they were feeding into the rumors to promote the movie. Gigi recently gave an in-depth interview where she talked about<\/a> what actually happened. <\/p>\n

Now, Glen is speaking out too.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will always have nothing but love for her and respect for her,\u201d Glen told GQ<\/a>. \u201cEverybody\u2019s always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she\u2019s welcome to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The magazine noted that Glen was \u201ccarefully\u201d choosing his words. <\/p>\n

\u201cRelationships are really hard. And when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch and they will each tell their own narrative,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Glen also received advice from Tom Cruise<\/a>, his co-star from Top Gun: Maverick. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe basically said, \u2018Hey, it\u2019s going to get really, really loud. It\u2019s your job to just turn the volume down. Just remember you have your hand on that switch. You have your hand on the ability to turn up that noise or turn it down.\u2019 And really just turning down the noise and trusting your own gut has been a real godsend for me,\u201d Glen said. <\/p>\n
