Denny Hamlin was victorious for the first time at the track, notching yet another win this season.

As it stands, Hamlin has five wins on the season, and now he can coast this weekend at one of his favorite tracks in Bristol. Elsewhere, certain wheelman are in danger of being eliminated from the playoffs, with Austin Dillon, Josh Berry, Alex Bowman and Shane van Gisbergen on the outside looking in heading to Tennessee.

With that in mind, BetMGM Sportsbook has released its updated betting lines for which driver will stand above all at the end of the year as champion after all of the action in Illinois. Here’s where each wheelman stands entering the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol, the final race of the Round of 16.

Denny Hamlin (+400)

Denny Hamlin is in rare form at the moment. He notched another win this past weekend, getting to Victory Lane at World Wide Technology Raceway for the first time in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Luckily for Hamlin, another tremendous track for the No. 11 team is on the docket. The veteran wheelman has won at Bristol four times, and twice in his last four trips to The Last Great Coliseum. We’ll see if he can get it done again in 2025.

Ryan Blaney (+450)

Ryan Blaney might’ve had something for Denny Hamlin if he wasn’t spun by Kyle Larson earlier in the race at Gateway. As it stood, he had to settle for a fourth-place finish over the weekend.

The hits keep coming for Blaney, and Bristol hasn’t been kind to him over the course of his career. There’s always time for that to change, and maybe it will this time around. Always expect the unexpected with Blaney.

Kyle Larson (+450)

Jasen Vinlove-Imagn Images

Kyle Larson didn’t have his best stuff at Gateway, as he finished P12 while spinning Ryan Blaney on accident. It wasn’t a performance he was proud of, but he’ll be looking to shake off the rust in Tennessee.

Over the course of his NASCAR Cup Series tenure, Larson has won three times at Bristol. He got to Victory Lane during the last time he raced at the short-track this past April, as well as last fall. Perhaps the Hendrick Motorsports star can make it three-in-a-row at The Last Great Coliseum.

Christopher Bell (+600)

Christopher Bell might’ve had one of the better cars on Sunday, but he didn’t contend for the win. The Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman could only muster a seventh-place run at Gateway.

As the Cup Series moves to Bristol this weekend, Bell has never won at The Last Great Coliseum. However, he’s done well over his past couple of trips to Tennessee, notching a bunch of ten finishes over the past two seasons.

William Byron (+650)

William Byron finished just outside the top ten in P11 at Gateway. He had a solid car, but he couldn’t contend for the win with the Toyota tandem of Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe.

While Byron has become an awesome short-track racer, Bristol isn’t always his strong suit. He does have two podium finishes in 14 attempts, but the Hendrick wheelman had some tough luck at the track in 2024. Perhaps this time around will be more fruitful for him.

Chase Briscoe (+800)

Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images

Chase Briscoe couldn’t make it two-in-a-row to start the playoffs, but he was awesome at Gateway. He finished as the runner-up on Sunday to his teammate in Denny Hamlin.

Moving ahead to Bristol, Briscoe is looking for yet another win with Joe Gibbs Racing. He finished P8 at the track last September, and he’s been steadily improving there since joining the Cup Series, including a P4 finish in the spring.

Chase Elliott (+1000)

Chase Elliott was the best Chevrolet on the track at Gateway. He finished third, only behind Toyota’s Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe in a valiant effort.

As Elliott looks for his second win of the season, Bristol is one of his better tracks. He won at The Last Great Coliseum in July of 2020. We’ll see if he can get it done with a full group of fans in the stands this time around.

Tyler Reddick (+1400)

Tyler Reddick didn’t have his best stuff at Gateway. He started P21 and came home P16 after a couple of promising results in the previous weeks.

Looking ahead, Reddick still hans’t been to Victory Lane in 2025. Bristol isn’t exactly his best track either. He’s 37 points to the good right now, which bodes in his favor, but he might need to get to Victory Lane during the Round of 12.

Updated NASCAR Cup Series Championship Odds:

Joey Logano (+1600)

Bubba Wallace (+2500)

Ross Chastain (+3000)

Austin Cindric (+6000)

Alex Bowman (+12500)

Shane van Gisbergen (+15000)

Austin Dillon (+15000)

Josh Berry (+25000)

Gambling Problem?
