LUBBOCK, Texas \u2013 The Texas Tech women’s tennis team is heading to Greenville, S.C., to compete at the Furman Fall Classic on Sept. 12-14 at the Mickel Tennis Center. Heading to Furman are Yekaterina Dmitrichenko<\/a>, Mariia Hlahola<\/a>, Ella Brownback<\/a> and Polina Sleptsova<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Lady Raiders are coming off a dominant year after sweeping the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles, while also hosting NCAA Regionals. The team was led by Dmitrichenko in singles wins with 24 overall and an impressive 19-2 dual singles record. She went 10-1 at court two and 9-1 at court three, while leading the way with four ranked wins. Dmitrichenko comes into the fall season checking in at No. 76 in the ITA rankings and is the only Lady Raider to be ranked in singles.<\/p>\n

Last season, Hlahola totaled 19 singles wins and led the team with 33 doubles wins and 18 dual doubles wins. She went 18-4 at court one with a team-high 13 ranked victories and ended the season as an ITA Doubles All-American. Hlahola, along with Dmitrichenko, come into the weekend with a No. 49 doubles ranking. Joining them at the tournament are freshmen Brownback and Sleptsova, who are set to play in their first competition in the Scarlet & Black.<\/p>\n

Other teams competing at the Furman Fall Classic are: Alabama, Clemson, Furman, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Penn State, South Carolina and Wake Forest. Some courts will have live streaming at the link here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
