Saskatchewan is coming off a big win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Banjo Bowl on Saturday. The 21-13 win<\/a> allowed the Riders to sweep the annual Labour Day<\/a> home-and-home series with their rivals.<\/p>\n

Prior to that win, the Riders were 0-9<\/a> since 2018 in Winnipeg.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to go to Winnipeg and win. We had to go to Winnipeg and win. It\u2019s been year after year where it\u2019s almost like we\u2019ve said that but it was a different feeling rolling into last weekend,\u201d defensive tackle Micah Johnson said. \u201cI don\u2019t have no problem saying that meant something special. That just wasn\u2019t another regular-season game for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paired with a Calgary Stampeders loss to the Edmonton Elks, the Riders have a bit more breathing room in a tight CFL West Division as the club inches closer to clinching a playoff spot.<\/p>\n

This week, the Riders will look to keep its winning ways going against the Montreal Alouettes. Kickoff for the game is set for 5 p.m. The Green Zone pregame show<\/a> begins at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a unique challenge in front of us with Montreal and their defence and co-ordinator and personnel they have. If we don\u2019t bring it this week, we will be humbled real quick and everyone goes from talking about how awesome 10-2 is to \u2014 is the sky falling situation,\u201d Harris said. \u201cWe have a one-week sprint.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Riders held a walkthrough practice on Tuesday. Fullback Albert Awachie<\/a> (hand), defensive back Tevaughn Campbell<\/a> (head), safety Jaxon Ford<\/a> (knee), safety Nelson Lokombo<\/a> (ankle), linebacker C.J. Reavis<\/a> (leg), and defensive back Marcus Sayles<\/a> (leg) all were listed as non-participants.<\/p>\n

Wide receiver Sam Emilus<\/a> (knee) was limited.<\/p>\n
