As we enter the final stretch of July, summer feels like it\u2019s slipping through our fingers at lightning speed. But no one is riding the season\u2019s whirlwind quite like Kylie Cantrall<\/a>\u2014the multihyphenate actress, singer and songwriter who seems to be everywhere at once.<\/p>\n

Best known for her breakout role as Red\u2014the daughter of the Queen of Hearts (played by Rita Ora)\u2014in Disney\u2019s musical fantasy film\u00a0Descendants: The Rise of Red, Cantrall is also making serious waves in the music world. Her newly released EP,\u00a0B.O.Y., which she calls a \u201cdream project,\u201d blends glossy Y2K pop with nostalgic R&B influences, channeling \u201cBritney, Aaliyah, Brandy and Janet in some sort of Bratz-doll blender with a little hint of matcha.\u201d Riding the momentum of this bold musical statement, Cantrall recently launched her first arena tour as part of the high-energy\u00a0Descendants\/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour. The star-studded lineup also includes Freya Skye, Malia Baker, Malachi Barton, Dara Rene\u00e9, Joshua Colley and Mekonnen Knife.<\/p>\n

Starting in San Diego, the tour celebrates the chart-topping music from Disney\u2019s \u201cDescendants\u201d and \u201cZombies\u201d movie franchises, and Cantrall\u2019s schedule is busy and active, delivering a one-of-a-kind interactive live concert night after night as she travels across North America.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pretty good at letting the day go and resting, but it can be hard when you\u2019re traveling,\u201d shares Cantrall, who says that \u201cpracticing self-care<\/a> daily\u201d is one of her non-negotiables. Another must for her on and off the road: Her finely tuned skin-care routine, which she says she sticks to\u2014no matter the city (or how late the show goes).<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really loving everything by Drunk Elephant<\/a> right now,\u201d Cantrall says. \u201cIt never bothers my skin and it does what it says it\u2019s going to do. I just got a whole bunch of the products and I\u2019m really enjoying using them all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another holy grail on the no-nonsense must list: The iconic $5 Essence mascara<\/a>. \u201cMy makeup artist Caroline used it on my lashes while I was filming\u00a0and it\u2019s been my go-to ever since!\u201d she says. \u201cAnd it\u2019s only $4.99; I\u2019m obsessed!\u201d<\/p>\n

Cantrall also says her best friend and coworker Baker hold each other accountable for making sure they always wash their face<\/a> post-performance: \u201cI\u2019m always making sure that I\u2019m cleansing<\/a> after a day where I\u2019ve had heavy makeup on. Those set days can definitely take a toll on your skin.
