Not only was the Italian unable to defend his US Open<\/a> title, but now Alcaraz has also dethroned Sinner as world number one<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sinner continues to struggle in the head-to-head against Alcaraz<\/a>, and he has now been told what he needs to change to improve this.<\/p>\n Sinner\u2019s serve has come under particular scrutiny<\/a> after the US Open final, and he was particularly critical about his own game in his post-match press conference.<\/p>\n In this press conference, Sinner<\/a> admitted that he was too \u2018predictable\u2019 and wanted to work on adding more variety to his game.<\/p>\n Naomi Osaka\u2019s former coach Patrick Mouratoglou<\/a> has now reacted to these comments, claiming that Sinner<\/a> needs to implement these changes in all of his matches not just against Alcaraz<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mouratoglou<\/a> particularly highlighted using more serve and volley tactics, drop shots, as well as just more overall variety and pace.<\/p>\n \u201cEven if he\u2019s not unpredictable, he\u2019s winning easily the immense majority of the matches throughout the year,\u201d Mouratoglou said on Instagram. \u201cNow, if he needs to be more unpredictable as he says, he\u2019s prepared to lose matches sometimes. <\/p>\n \u201cWhy? Because what you work in practice, if you don\u2019t do it during the matches, you\u2019re not going to do it in a Grand Slam final, because you\u2019re going to do what you\u2019re used to be doing.
