Ranking her five favourite matches of 2025 with \u2018Tennis Channel\u2019, Gauff<\/a> picked her victory over world number one Aryna Sabalenka<\/a> in the French Open final for the top spot.<\/p>\n \u201cI went for Roland Garros. I mean, that has to be number one, just because I feel like that\u2019s important,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cBased on, like, emotional things, and what I felt like helped me the most, this United Cup [win over Swiatek] was a lot to me. <\/p>\n \u201cI think I would rank this one number three, just because I was so nervous before this match, I didn\u2019t want to let my team down, and I just felt like that was one of my best matches of the year playing-wise.<\/p>\n \u201cThis Madison Keys match, I think, was also important for me at Roland Garros, because of the fact that I had lost that first set, I think after having set points, and I still didn\u2019t let that bother me, where I felt like in the past, I would have.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd now we have\u2026 Ooh, maybe I messed this up. Well, I\u2019m not a decisive person. We\u2019ll do the Rome semi-final [against Qinwen Zheng], actually number two, because I think that was my longest match in my career. And I think that deserves a moment.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter this, we\u2019ll go last [fifth] as me beating [Sofia] Kenin, because I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever beaten anyone 0 and 0 before in my professional career. And I don\u2019t know, I feel like that\u2019s a cool thing. It will probably never happen to me again.\u201d<\/p>\n Gauff delivered a double bagel against compatriot Sofia Kenin in the first round of the Miami Open in March. <\/p>\n Coco Gauff\u2019s results at Grand Slam events this year <\/p>\n With the Grand Slam season officially over following the conclusion of the US Open, Gauff will look back on her major campaigns in 2025 with mixed feelings. <\/p>\n At the Australian Open, she reached the quarterfinals before falling to Paula Badosa in straight sets. <\/p>\n After her incredible run in Paris, at Wimbledon Gauff recorded one of the worst results she has had at a Grand Slam in her career. <\/p>\n She crashed out in her opening match against Dayana Yastremska, tallying a second first-round exit at the All England Club in the space of three years. <\/p>\n
