Luke Koenig<\/a>, who is eager to elevate his game at the Canadian Collegiate. He hopes to lean on past experiences while pushing himself and his teammates toward another breakthrough.<\/p>\n“It can be hard to execute under pressure when your team is in a good spot, but that doesn’t mean it’s out of reach,” Koenig said. “We’re never out of it. My teammates rely on me, and that motivates me to put myself in position to win another tournament. I know I can always count on them, no matter the results.”<\/p>\n
The Canadian Collegiate marks Rutgers’ second fall stop, following a competitive showing at the Gopher Invitational. With depth across the roster and contagious energy, the Scarlet Knights look to keep momentum rolling into the heart of the season.<\/p>\n
“The team’s energy is there, and it’s huge,” Koenig added. “It’s been contagious through the coaching staff, our workouts, and our leaders. The experienced guys are showing the younger players the way, and that teaches them a ton.”<\/p>\n
Even for those not making the trip, Shutte emphasizes that every player plays a role in the team’s growth and culture.<\/p>\n
“I expect the guys staying home to crush it in practice and support the team\u2014that’s important for our culture,” Shutte said. “As for the group traveling, we as coaches push for a better game plan and expect an incredible attitude all around.”<\/p>\n
