Looking to help the kids have a ball this summer without breaking the bank?<\/p>\n
Southern California’s largest free soccer camp will return next week, with the Empire Strykers<\/a> soccer team planning five big days of family fun in the Inland Empire.<\/p>\n The camp is open to ages 5-17, and will be in these cities: Upland – July 28-29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.Fontana – July 30-31, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.Rancho Cucamonga – July 31-Aug. 1, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.<\/p>\n Click here to register for free soccer camp<\/a><\/p>\n The Strykers are putting finishing touches on what promises to be the camp’s biggest year yet, with nearly 2,000 students expected on the field.<\/p>\n “We have never taken on an endeavor quite this large,” managing partner Jeff Burum said. “That’s what makes this summer so exciting.”<\/p>\n In addition to learning how to shoot, dribble and sharpen those goalkeeping skills, every child who registers also gets a free soccer ball, camp t-shirt, and a ticket to the team’s 2025-2026 home opener.<\/p>\n Fifteen Strykers players will be on hand throughout the camp to help teach soccer in a fun environment, including Mexican soccer superstar and Olympian Marco Fabi\u00e1n.<\/p>\n English footballer Jack Downer, a two-time Superball Panna World Champion in his own right, will also join his Strykers teammates at camp.<\/p>\n Burum said he hopes the camp will inspire and help children access soccer lessons who might not be able to otherwise.<\/p>\n “The more we can inspire, the more we can keep them active, the more that we can keep their minds on positive things in their lives,” Burum said.<\/p>\n The Strykers have hosted its annual free soccer camp since its founding in 2013.<\/p>\n For more information on Inland Empire’s professional MASL arena soccer team, visit TheEmpireStrykers.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n More Local Events: ABC7 In Your Community<\/a> | Submit Your Event to ABC7<\/a><\/p>\n Share all your summer photos with #abc7eyewitness!<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2025 KABC Television, LLC.
