A cyclist has critical injuries following a crash in southwest Calgary on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Police say the crash between a vehicle and a bike happened around 3:40 p.m. near Stoney Trail SW at 17 Avenue SW.<\/p>\n
The cyclist sustained critical injuries in the crash, according to police.<\/p>\n
As a result, 17 Avenue SW is closed in both directions across Stoney Trail, including all off-ramps. Officials have also shut down all access points to 17 Avenue over Stoney Trail, and additional road closures may be put in place as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and expect significant delays.<\/p>\n
