Travis Bazzana\u2019s OTHER oblique is sore, so he may be done for the season. Hopefully, he can get those obliques right this offseason, because that can be tricky for a hitter to handle. If it\u2019s on a $5 million prove-it deal, that\u2019s fine, because there really aren\u2019t a ton of decent outfielders out there. But, I suspect his time is done. The crowd at Progressive Field looked pretty sparse last night. Part of me is pretty disappointed with Guardians\u2019 fans. This team is somehow managing to stay competitive through the end of the season. They are winning more than they lose practically every season. They have the most lovable superstar we have ever seen in Cleveland. And, the weather was perfect on a Friday night. What\u2019s up? The other part of me knows that the Dolans and co. have fumbled public relations, customer care, season ticket holder retention, and pretty much every other aspect related to making people committed to showing up at the ballpark, so I guess I shouldn\u2019t be surprised. I had a good experience as a season ticket holder this season and renewed for next season but I know that\u2019s far from the norm for most season ticket holders with the Guardians. It\u2019s something they really have to continue to work on, in my humble opinion.<\/p>\n

Well, the Astros crushed Atlanta, the Rangers beat the haplessly slumping Mets, the Mariners are beating the Angels 1-0 as I write this and I am sure that will hold because it\u2019s the Angels. But, hey, Detroit lost. Suddenly, the Guardians have six games left against the division leader who only has a 7.5 game lead agains them. To be clear\u2026 this would be the greatest collapse in MLB history.
