It\u2019s no secret the Boston Red Sox are struggling after Roman Anthony went down with injury. Since September 2nd, the Sox have gone 4-5, barely under .500.<\/p>\n

Now, Sox manager Alex Cora makes it seem like the Sox\u2019s chances to play in October might not be as solid as once thought.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we should stop talking October, to be honest with you. There’s a lot of stuff going on, and we have to play better. I’m not saying we’re in a bad spot, but I think we have to wait, you know, to see if October is part of this,\u201d Cora said (via Gabrielle Starr<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Sox have had a lot going on. Without Anthony, the Sox\u2019 offense has suffered immensely, leaving dozens of men on base, failing to convert when they had runners in scoring position.<\/p>\n

The pitching has been slouching as well, with Garrett Crochet and Lucas Giolito having some of the worst outings of their career\/season. The bullpen has been slouching as well, as most of them have been getting slammed.<\/p>\n

The Sox\u2019s latest rookie call up, Payton Tolle, is also going through growing pains after his tremendous debut. He\u2019s given up multiple homers over two starts, and can\u2019t make it out of a few innings.<\/p>\n
