A bear entered a nursing home in northeastern Japan Saturday after breaking through a window.<\/p>\n
The animal fled without injuring residents or staff at the facility in Aizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture.<\/p>\n
Police say the one-meter-long bear entered right after being spotted by a staff member at about 6:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
Staff members fled to a nearby room and called on the six residents of the home to lock their doors.<\/p>\n
When police arrived, the bear had gone, apparently having escaped by breaking through glass in the front door.<\/p>\n
Police are warning people in the area to be cautious of bears. The town has set off fireworks and placed traps in the area.<\/p>\n
