‘Dragon Quest VII Reimagined’ already looks superb.<\/p>\n

One of the most successful Dragon Quest games ever made is finally getting the remake treatment, and it looks genuinely amazing.<\/p>\n
Dragon Quest VII was released back on the original PlayStation in 2000 in Japan, and it later came Westward the following year.<\/p>\n
Apart from being an amazing role-playing game, Dragon Quest VII sold over 4 million copies in Japan<\/a> alone. Making it one of the bestselling games of that period in Japan, even more so than Final Fantasy.<\/p>\n We later got an excellent port on the Nintendo 3DS, which was released in Japan in 2013 and later globally in 2016.<\/p>\n So, there\u2019s a lot riding on remaking such a beloved game, but from the new trailer (shown below), it looks like they\u2019ve nailed it.<\/p>\n There\u2019s also a nice video<\/a> (with English subtitles) of Yuji Horii<\/a> and the game\u2019s producer, Takeshi Ichikawa<\/a>, talking about the remake and giving some extra context for the game\u2019s release.<\/p>\n It\u2019s also one of the few standalone games in the series, and not tied to any of the various trilogies that made up previous releases.<\/p>\n Talking of release dates, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined<\/a> will be released on February 5 next year, which is not far off at all.<\/p>\n My only hope with all this excellent Dragon Quest news is that we\u2019ll eventually get another Dragon Quest Builders<\/a>.<\/p>\n Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will be released on February 5 for Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.<\/p>\n Follow me on X<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and YouTube<\/a>.
