\n\tIce Cube<\/a> is going behind the scenes of his latest sci-fi thriller, \u201cWar of the Worlds<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent interview with Kai Cenat<\/a>, the \u201cFriday\u201d star said that the viral \u201cWar of the Worlds\u201d remake was shot in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, and that his scenes were completed in 15 days without the director or any of his co-stars.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c[\u2018War of the Worlds\u2019] was a movie I did in 2020 during the pandemic,\u201d Ice Cube recalled. \u201cWe shot it in 15 days, and it was during the pandemic. So the director wasn\u2019t in there. None of the actors was in there. This was the only way we could really shoot the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIce Cube explained that the movie took five years to release because it was originally shot by Universal, which then sold it to Amazon. He claimed that acquiring the rest of the footage outside of his scenes also contributed to the delay.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAll the footage is from real surveillance cameras all around the world,\u201d he added. \u201cSo they had to build all that shit [and then collect and edit the footage].\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWar of the Worlds,\u201d loosely adapted from H. G. Wells\u2019 science fiction novel of the same name, quickly became a viral sensation after its trailer debuted in late July. The film was released on July 30, and during its first week on the streamer, it held the number one slot on Amazon\u2019s most-watched list in 30 markets, including the U.S..<\/p>\n

\n\tIce Cube stars in \u201cWar of the Worlds\u201d as computer security analyst William Radford, who is thrown into the center of a global catastrophe when aliens invade Earth.
