Elton John<\/a> caused a stir among his followers this week after sharing images of himself in a hospital bed.<\/p>\n

The legendary singer has previously grappled with ongoing hip and back issues, leading him to cancel several performances on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.<\/p>\n

In 2021, he underwent hip surgery following a fall at his residence<\/a>, and he’s been open about the physical strain years of performing have inflicted on his body.<\/p>\n

In a recent Instagram post, the 77-year-old Rocket Man star seemed to be severely injured in the photos shared on Instagram, lying in a bed with both legs wrapped in sparkling rhinestone-studded casts and wearing a neck brace. Balloons, flowers, and get-well-soon cards surrounded him.<\/p>\n

However, despite the situation appearing alarmingly real, it was later revealed that the stunt was part of filming for the highly anticipated Spinal Tap, as observant fans noticed behind-the-scenes pictures included in the same Instagram carousel showing Elton on stage monitors and the glittering casts removed on a soundstage, confirming the setup was part of Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the post left fans shaken. “ELTON DONT SCARE US LIKE THAT,” one begged.<\/p>\n

The follow-up will chronicle the made-up heavy-metal group’s reunion after a 15-year break for one final tumultuous show, with John providing two original tracks for the production.<\/p>\n

This development arrives as John touchingly revealed in a conversation with The Guardian earlier this year, admitting that he now possesses a deeper appreciation for disabled individuals following his personal health struggles.<\/p>\n

He shared with the outlet: “I’m an optimist permanently. I’ve got bad eyesight at the moment. There have been days I’ve been miserable, but then I think about how lucky I am, I’ve got a new respect for sight-impaired people, but I’ve got a great lif,e and hopefully my sight will improve.
