<\/p>\n ANGOLA, Ind. \u2013 The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women’s soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw at Trine on Sunday morning. The Bears are now 5-0-1 on the year.

\nIt was Trine\u00a0that got on the board first in the 18th minute when Abby Robison scored on a pass from Lilly White.
\n\u00a0
\nAlthough the Bears had several chances in the first half to pull even, it was not until 5:14 into the second half that they did just that. Sophomore Kate Martin<\/a> scored on a pass from junior Sophie Viscovich<\/a> for her first goal of the season.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the 28th minute, Viscovich put a shot on goal, which was saved by Trine goalkeeper Madison Kinneer. In the 32nd minute, sophomore Cami Colpitts<\/a> had a shot on frame, which was also saved. Senior Ella Koleno<\/a> put a shot on goal in the 41st minute and again in the 45th minute, which were both stopped by Kinneer.

\nFollowing the Bears’ goal in the second half, Viscovich put a shot on frame in the 57th minute, which was saved by Kinneer. In the final five minutes, Colpitts had a shot on goal in the 86th minute and sophomore Olivia Clemons<\/a> put one on frame in the 89th minute, both stopped by Kinneer.

\nStatistically, the Bears out-shot Trine 16-7 including 9-3 shots on goal. The Thunder had one more corner kick than WashU, 5-4.

\nColpitts led the Bears with four shots including three on goal while Viscovich recorded three with two on goal. Koleno recorded two shots, both on goal.

\nSophomore goalkeeper Kassidy Lanthier<\/a> made two saves on the day.

\nThe Bears hit the road again next weekend for a pair of games in Memphis, Tenn. First up, they face Mary Hardin-Baylor at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. WashU’s Sunday opponent will be determined by Saturday results, facing either Rhodes or DePauw.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
