SIOUX FALLS, S.D. \u2013\u00a0Senior Yuma Daijima<\/a> claimed the Flight A Singles championship as the Creighton men’s Tennis team closed out play at the Augustana Invite on Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls, S.D.<\/p>\n

Daijima opened his senior campaign with a 3-0 record, capturing the Flight A Singles crown with a 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 win over North Dakota’s Leo Galliano.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Daijima then teamed up with freshman Jasper Camehn<\/a> to claim the Flight B Doubles Consolation championship following wins over Augustana’s Clayton Poppenga and Sebastian Garcia (8-4), as well as Augie’s Deuce Daniel and Luke Fridinger (8-5).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Camehn also claimed an 8-4 victory over Augustana’s Jose Antonio Velasco to win the Flight A consolation bracket, while freshman Mathis Dahler<\/a> picked up an 8-5 win over Lukas Mandelik in the Flight B consolation finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Bluejays return to the courts on Oct. 4th\u00a0and 5th\u00a0for the Omaha Invite at the Koch Family Tennis Center.\u00a0
