(Calgary) Williams signed with the Stampeders on Sept. 14 and was placed on the practice roster.<\/p>\n

Williams played his two final collegiate seasons (2022-23) at Arizona. In 24 games for the Wildcats, he rushed the ball 145 times for 748 yards \u2013 an average of 5.2 yards per carry \u2013 and scored eight touchdowns. Williams also made six receptions for 67 yards. He played four games at Florida State in 2021 and had 10 carries for 47 yards and one touchdown for the Seminoles. Williams started his collegiate career with two seasons (2019-20) at Auburn. He played 15 games for the Tigers, carrying the ball 122 times for 599 yards and five touchdowns and also contributing 12 receptions for 72 yards.<\/p>\n

Personal<\/p>\n

Williams rushed for 1,221 and 21 touchdowns and also passed for 1,113 yards and 13 majors at Sebring (Fla.) High School. He was a two-time Highlands district all-star for the Blue Streaks. Williams\u2019 uncle is Hall-of-Fame running back Edgerrin James, who was a four-time Pro Bowler as a member of the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n
