Hannah Einbinder lit up the Emmys stage during her acceptance speech after winning the statuette for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on HBO Max\u2019s Hacks on Sunday night. Going over her allotted time, the star made a couple of very timely declarations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to thank Jean Smart, who is like the sun, and I just get to stand in her warmth. I want to thank the cast and crew of Hacks,\u201d Einbinder said.<\/p>\n

She continued boldly, \u201cI\u2019ll pay the difference, sorry. Finally, I want to say, Go Birds, F*** ICE and Free Palestine.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n The reference to paying the difference reflects host Nate Bargatze\u2019s charity fundraiser for every minute a winner goes over their allotted time with their speech. It is estimated that Einbinder will have to pay $10k for her final words trashing ICE, which stands for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as calling for a free Palestine. The funds will all go to the Boys and Girls Club. In the minutes after the roaring applause that followed her closer, a GoFundMe was started on her behalf.<\/p>\n Javier Bardem also showed his support for a free Palestine by wearing a Palestinian Keffiyeh to the celebration. He used his time on the red carpet to say he denounces \u201cgenocide in Gaza.\u201d Einbinder\u2019s Hacks co-star, Megan Stalter, also took a stand by speaking of the importance of using your platform to bring attention to important issues.<\/p>\n \u201cHow many hundreds of thousands of dead children need to suffer for people to wake up?\u201d Bardem told USA Today.<\/p>\n It was revealed earlier in the night that Hacks would end after five seasons, with Einbinder saying they didn\u2019t want to overstay their welcome. Season 4 concluded, airing on HBO Max in the spring.<\/p>\n Einbinder has been nominated for a total of four Emmys for portraying Ava Daniels on Hacks, with today\u2019s accolade counting as her first win.
