Yuki Tsunoda has explained how he feared his “body was going to fall apart” during his multiple flip F1 accident at Imola.<\/p>\n
During Q1 for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Tsunoda carried too much speed into the second chicane and spun out backwards into the gravel trap.<\/p>\n
However, the momentum he was carrying meant he was flipped multiple times after hitting the catch-fencing, eventually coming to rest right-side up, but with a destroyed RB21.<\/p>\n
He would start from the pit-lane, and actually go on to score a 10th-place finish, one of just four he has managed for Red Bull thus far, with his future for 2026 uncertain.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, in the accident, the Japanese racer explained how he initially feared a serious injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I thought my body was going to fall apart, both right and left,” Tsunoda explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I remember every single moment, which is good, but I saw the tyres going away, but my neck was completely fine, and I went racing the next day.<\/p>\n
