Selena Gomez caught Martin Short texting their \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d co-star Meryl Streep during the Emmys<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In a video clip circulating via X<\/a>, the former Disney Channel star \u2014 who attended the show with fianc\u00e9 Benny Blanco<\/a> \u2014 appeared to take a peek at Short a few seats down, as he was looking at his phone and chatting with Steve Martin.<\/p>\n

She then looked back at Blanco, seemingly mouthing the words, \u201cHe\u2019s texting Meryl.\u201d She pouted and smiled in a secretive expression while delivering the news to her future husband. The \u201cDevil Wears Prada\u201d star did not appear to attend the ceremony on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Gomez, 33, stars in the beloved comedy-drama alongside Martin and Short as New York City podcasters unraveling a web of murder mysteries in their historical building, the Arconia. Streep co-stars as Short\u2019s love interest, and the two were snapped making out on the show\u2019s set in May.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Streep, 76, and Short, 75, sparked real-life dating rumors<\/a> in January 2024 after looking cozy while sitting together at the Golden Globes.<\/p>\n

At the time, a rep for the \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum\u00a0told People\u00a0that they were \u201cjust very good friends<\/a>, nothing more.\u201d Short also denied the rumors <\/a>a month later.<\/p>\n

Despite their reticence on the topic, a source told Page Six in March that the acting legends had been dating for \u201cwell over a year now.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
