The way he has provided stability \u2013 without drama \u2013 in an environment where we\u2019re all just trying to do our jobs. I can really see that in his eyes today versus last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cI think it\u2019s one of the great things about Laurent and his team, that they all have this deep commitment to each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Opening up on just how involved Verstappen is, Mekies added: \u201cMax is doing a lot more than just asking for the numbers. You would be surprised. Max is giving so much to the projects also outside of the car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cHe\u2019s not just asking the numbers, he\u2019s testing the car in the simulators, he\u2019s working with engineers on both sides of the fence to understand how do we develop these 2026 cars? Where do we try to get the power? Where do we try to get the downforce?<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cSo, that&#8217;s how central to the project he is.
