Sidney Crosby<\/a> wants to remain a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old team captain reiterated his desire to stay with the only franchise he\u2019s ever suited up for on Monday while delivering tickets to season-ticket holders.<\/p>\n

A native of Cole Harbour, NS, Crosby is set to embark on his 21st NHL campaign. He is entering the first season of a two-year, $17.4 million deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of narratives out there and I don\u2019t think a lot of those have come from me,\u201d Crosby said, addressing rumours about his future plans. \u201cThis is where I want to be. I love it here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crosby expressed frustration over the constant swirl of rumours regarding a potential move away from the Penguins.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t keep having to answer the same question over and over again because of these narratives,\u201d Crosby said. \u201cIf people want to write about that or say that, that\u2019s fine. I can\u2019t really control that. Obviously, when you lose and there are certain things that happen, I think it\u2019s normal for that stuff to come up, but that\u2019s how I feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Originally taken with the first overall pick of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft out of the QMJHL\u2019s Rimouski Oceanic, Crosby has won three Stanley Cups, two Hart Trophies, two Conn Smythe Trophies and two Art Ross Trophies as the league\u2019s top scorer.<\/p>\n

An eight-time All-Star, Crosby has 625 goals and 1,062 assists in 1,352 career games. His 1,687 points are ninth all-time in NHL history. Crosby trails Mario Lemieux<\/a> by 36 points for the Penguins\u2019 all-time franchise lead.<\/p>\n

Internationally, Crosby has represented Canada on numerous occasions and has won several honours including two Olympic gold medals (in 2010 and 2014), a World Junior Hockey Championship, a IIHF World Championship, a World Cup of Hockey and the Four Nations Face-Off title this past February.<\/p>\n
