{"id":146559,"date":"2025-09-15T21:36:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T21:36:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/146559\/"},"modified":"2025-09-15T21:36:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T21:36:13","slug":"canadas-antitrust-regulator-to-review-anglo-teck-merger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/146559\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada&#8217;s antitrust regulator to review Anglo-Teck merger"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">By Divya Rajagopal<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">TORONTO (Reuters) -Canada&#8217;s antitrust regulator will review the proposed merger of Anglo American and Teck Resources, the regulator said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">&#8220;I can confirm that the proposed Teck-Anglo merger will be reviewed by the Competition Bureau,&#8221; Marianne Blondin, senior communications adviser at the Competition Bureau in Canada, said in an emailed statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">British miner Anglo American announced a $53 billion merger with Canada&#8217;s Teck Resources earlier this month, which would be the second-biggest merger in mining.
