Prince Harry<\/a>\u2019s memoir, \u201cSpare,\u201d<\/a> offers an unbridled look at royal life \u2015 the likes of which we haven\u2019t seen before, and might never see again. <\/p>\n

Two years after publishing the book that shocked the globe, the Duke of Sussex is opening up about speaking out in the years since he and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, stepped back from royal life in 2020. <\/p>\n

\u201cI know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative,\u201d Harry said in a new interview with The Guardian<\/a>, published on Sunday. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there,\u201d the prince added. \u201cOne point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.\u201d <\/p>\n

Harry then responded to some of the criticism that surrounded the book, as people were miffed the prince would share such a behind-the-scenes look at The Firm in the 400-plus page memoir. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public,\u201d the 41-year-old royal said. \u201cIt was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.\u201d <\/p>\n

The two briefly met on Wednesday, marking their first in-person meeting in nearly two years<\/a>. <\/p>\n

When asked by The Guardian if Harry would like to return to the U.K. more, especially with his children, despite his continued security difficulties, the Duke answered, \u201cYes I would.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThis week has definitely brought that closer,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n

Though the outlet noted he wouldn\u2019t speak about his father in specifics, he said that \u201cthe focus really has to be on my dad\u201d this year. <\/p>\n
