NAU Men\u2019s Tennis Serves Up Fall Season at Wildcat Invite<\/p>\n

Men’s Tennis \/ September 15, 2025<\/p>\n

TUSCON, Ariz. (September 15, 2024) –\u00a0The NAU Men’s tennis team started the fall schedule in Tucson, Arizona at the Wildcat Invitational this past weekend. All seven players on the roster competed for the Lumberjacks.<\/p>\n

The tournament featured players from Arizona, New Mexico State, New Mexico, UNLV, and San Diego State. Through the three-day tournament, NAU had three wins in doubles and 11 wins in singles.<\/p>\n

Sophomore Kai Mills<\/a> highlighted the success for the Lumberjacks, reaching the finals of his singles draw to clinch the round robin tournament. The pairing of Mills and freshman Daniel Tens also captured two out of three matches in doubles.

\nIvan Perisic<\/a> and Noa Tcherniack<\/a> also saw success in singles, each going 2-1 in their matches. Takumi Katsuda<\/a> and Vincent Vohl<\/a> took a doubles victory over Vitality Horovoy and Joel Gibson (UNLV) on Day 3, 6-4. The doubles team of Jakub Volesky<\/a> and Ivan Perisic<\/a> also picked up a win on the final day, defeating Matias Rojas and Ricardo Mercado (NMSU), 6-2.

\nNAU now sets its sights on the ITA Bedford Cup in Colorado Spring, Colo., beginning Sep. 26.<\/p>\n
