\t\t\t\t\tAfter months of rampant deadlines surrounding Sidney Crosby<\/a> trade rumours, the Pittsburgh Penguins captain has finally opened up and made it clear where he wants to be moving forward.<\/p>\n

There’s the established relationship with Jim Rutherford and Patrik Allvin. Rutherford was Crosby’s GM from 2015 through 2021, including back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships in 2015-16 and 2016-17<\/p>\n

Although it was a longshot, it appears Crosby has made up his mind…<\/p>\n

Sidney Crosby shuts down rumours of a trade to the Vancouver Canucks and the rest of the NHL<\/p>\n

The chatter became too much where Sidney Crosby did his best to put to rest any rumours\/truth that he might consider joining another NHL team other than the Pittsburgh Penguins at some point.<\/p>\n

“There’s a lot of narratives out there, and I don’t think a lot of those have come from me,” Crosby told reporters while delivering season tickets to fans Monday, per The Athletic’s Josh Yohe. “This is where I want to be. I love it here.”<\/p>\n

When Crosby’s agent Pat Brisson turned heads by stating that a trade involving the Penguins superstar is always a possibility, it only ramped up media outlets to run with the story and start coming up with destinations that make sense.<\/p>\n

These comments surprised Crosby himself…<\/p>\n

Crosby admitted Brisson’s comments surprised him.<\/p>\n

“I think Pat knows how much I put into this, how much I love it. How much I want to be in the playoffs,” Crosby said. “Whether those quotes were taken for what they were or if there was a different question put into those quotes, I don’t know the backstory. Pat and I didn’t have a conversation prior to him talking.”<\/p>\n

As once said, the chances of Crosby ever suiting up for another club, let alone the Vancouver Canucks was a very low possibility, and the Penguins superstars’ latest remarks clearly put those rumours to bed.<\/p>\n
