A Single Word From My Therapist Changed Everything.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a superfood because of all of the nutritional properties that it has, from fiber and magnesium to B vitamins and iron, and there\u2019s a little protein in there,\u201d the author of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Core-Healthy-Eating-Plan-Sustainable\/dp\/1507216106\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Core 3 Healthy Eating Plan;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The Core 3 Healthy Eating Plan<\/a> told us.<\/p>\n<p>They also contain omega-3 fatty acids, which help keep our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/omega-3-fish-oil-for-brain-health\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:brains;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">brains<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/medlineplus.gov\/ency\/patientinstructions\/000767.htm#:~:text=They%20reduce%20triglycerides%2C%20a%20type,slightly%20lower%20your%20blood%20pressure.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:hearts;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">hearts<\/a> healthy and have been shown to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arthritis.org\/health-wellness\/treatment\/complementary-therapies\/supplements-and-vitamins\/omega-3-fatty-acids-for-health\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:reduce inflammation;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">reduce inflammation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great for regulating digestion,\u201d Moskovitz added, \u201cso for people that struggle &#8230;\u00a0with constipation and regularities, chia seeds are a great source of insoluble and soluble fiber.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, just one serving of chia seeds \u2014 typically two to three tablespoons \u2014 offers nearly 10 grams of fiber, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/ask.usda.gov\/s\/article\/How-much-dietary-fiber-should-I-eat#:~:text=Dietary%20fiber%20intake%20is%20recommended,intake%20should%20be%2028%20grams.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:one-third of the recommended daily intake;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">one-third of the recommended daily intake<\/a>\u00a0for most people.
