Ed Sheeran has played down his move to the US and said that relocating for a tour was something he has done throughout his career.<\/p>\n
The songwriter, who lives near Framlingham, Suffolk, announced he was moving to the US during an interview on The 2 Johnnies Podcast.<\/p>\n
The BBC reported earlier this month that his move to the US with his family would only be a temporary arrangement while he tours the country.<\/p>\n
During an appearance on The One Show on Monday, the 34-year-old wanted to clarify the decision and accused the media of portraying the move as permanent.<\/p>\n
“What’s wild is I’ve done this for all of my career. When I tour America I go live there, because I have a family, and the last time I toured America, no-one cared,” he said.<\/p>\n
“But now there is a narrative around British people moving out of Britain, the press just wanted to jump on it and say that I was moving out,” he added. <\/p>\n

Sheeran, one of the biggest-selling global artists of the 2010 and 2020s, has recently released a new album called Play<\/p>\n
