(theACC.com) \u2013\u00a0As conference play continues, Atlantic Coast Conference women\u2019s soccer begins a stretch of five consecutive days featuring at least one matchup, starting on Wednesday, September 17, with a rematch of last season\u2019s ACC Championship match.<\/p>\n<p>ACC Network will broadcast Wednesday\u2019s showdown of No. 7 Florida State at No. 18 North Carolina beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Last season, the Seminoles edged the Tar Heels, 3-2, in the conference final to claim their fifth consecutive title. Florida State, which has outscored its opponents 26-1 this season, enters Wednesday with a three-match unbeaten streak in the all-time series against UNC, with its last loss to the Tar Heels coming in the 2023 Women\u2019s College Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Another top-25 matchup is set for Thursday, September 18 when No. 3 Duke visits No. 6 Notre Dame for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on ACC Network Extra. The contest will be Duke\u2019s fourth against a ranked opponent this season, as the Blue Devils hold a 2-1 record against Top-25 foes. The Fighting Irish return home for the first time since August 31.<\/p>\n<p>Noting ACC Women\u2019s Soccer<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 ACC teams have recorded 76 non-conference wins this season, the second-most of any conference.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 ACC programs own a 15-9-7 (.597) record against Power Four opponents and are 5-2-5 (.625) against ranked teams.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 Virginia junior midfielder Ella Carter has been named the ACC Women\u2019s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Florida State sophomore defender Janet Okeke was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week for matches played September 8-14.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 Tied for the most among all conferences, seven ACC teams are ranked in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, including the top three spots: Virginia (No. 1), Stanford (No. 2), Duke (No. 3), Notre Dame (No. 6), Florida State (No. 7), Wake Forest (No. 16) and North Carolina (No. 18). Clemson and Louisville are receiving votes.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 Five ACC teams are in the top 10 nationally in total goals, as no other conference has more than two teams in the top 10. The leaders include Louisville (No. 1 \u2013 38 goals), Stanford (No. 1 \u2013 38), Florida State (No. 7 \u2013 26), North Carolina (No. 7 \u2013 26) and Notre Dame (No. 10 \u2013 24).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 Virginia\u2019s Lia Godfrey has played in 93 matches, the most among all active Division I players.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 The 2025 Preseason ACC Coaches Poll and All-ACC Team were announced on Thursday, August 7, as North Carolina was selected as the conference favorite.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 A total of 14 players were named to the Preseason All-ACC Team, including 2024 first-team selections Cameron Roller (Duke), Jordynn Dudley (Florida State), Kate Faasse (North Carolina), Izzy Engle (Notre Dame) and Leah Klenke (Notre Dame).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 North Carolina claimed its 23rd national championship with a 1-0 victory over Wake Forest in the final of the 2024 Women&#8217;s College Cup. The title was UNC&#8217;s 22nd NCAA championship after winning the AIWA National Championship in 1981.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 The title was the ACC&#8217;s 26th women&#8217;s soccer national championship. Current membership has combined to win 32 national championships (North Carolina &#8211; 22, Florida State &#8211; 4, Stanford &#8211; 3, Notre Dame &#8211; 3). No school outside the ACC has won more than two national titles.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 For the first time in Women&#8217;s College Cup history, the ACC sent all four teams to the national semifinals, as Duke, North Carolina, Stanford and Wake Forest all advanced.
