Everyone is wondering who was on the other end of that call.<\/p>\n

Popular streamer Adin Ross bet big \u2013 $1 million large \u2013 on the favored Canelo Alvarez ahead of his massive fight against Terence Crawford, until he got a call.<\/p>\n

\u201cI gotta take this call,\u201d Ross said on his livestream Saturday night ahead of the big fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cJordan, we\u2019re switching the bet,\u201d Ross said after leaving and returning to the room. \u201cWe\u2019re definitely switching our bet. I can\u2019t talk about it. I\u2019m telling you right now, we\u2019re going Crawford. Cash out. I\u2019ll tell you guys off-stream\u2026 All I\u2019m going to say, chat, is I got one of those calls.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adin Ross got a call from casino owner telling him to switch his $1,000,000 bet from Canelo to Terence Crawford minutes before the fight. <\/p>\n

Ross told his viewers that the vital call he got was clearly enough to get him to flip his bet, although no further details were given. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey were just like, \u2018Listen. We think that if you were to do this [bet on Canelo Alvarez], it\u2019s going to get bad.’\u201d <\/p>\n

Whether there was an injury or other factors that led to the switch is still unknown; however, there appears to be some legitimate piece of information that forced the switch.<\/p>\n

Ross is not the only one who bet big on the underdog to beat Alvarez despite moving up two weight classes ahead of the bout. <\/p>\n

Yahoo Sports reported that one bettor wagered $2 million in cash on Crawford at odds of +140<\/a>, resulting in a payout of $4.8 million, representing a $2.8 million profit as \u2018Bud\u2019 won by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Still, the betting volume on the fight was large enough that Alvarez was getting most of the money in the market, although at a favorite price, so it is unclear whether the bout was a net win for the sportsbooks.<\/p>\n

DraftKings<\/a> tells The Post that 59 percent of the handle was on Alvarez around midday on Saturday.<\/p>\n

BetMGM<\/a> still reports to The Post that just 38 percent of the money was on Crawford, despite the reported $2 million bet.<\/p>\n

Thirteen percent was on a draw, and 49 percent was on Alvarez.<\/p>\n
